With perfect sunshine and almost calm wind conditions, things couldn’t have been better for our Liteboat testival on Lake Constance – at least for the rowers. The sailors, of course, would have liked a bit more wind. Fortunately, all XP boats also have a rowing system. And it is only in light winds that a boat’s true sailing performance becomes apparent. Mathieu Laperche, sailing expert at Liteboat, got the most out of the XP16 and impressively demonstrated to the participants just how easily the sailing manoeuvres can be performed in this boat.
All solo rowing boats, from the LiteRiver to the XRow, were ready to be tested. All participants were free to switch boats as often as they liked to feel the differences. With a brief introduction from Ueli Bodenmann, rowing instructor, even those who had never sat in a rowing boat before were able to learn the correct rowing technique in no time and glide across the water independently. Great fun!
Over lunch time, interested participants chatted with those who already own a Liteboat. This exchange of experiences is more valuable than any glossy brochure.
Following this Testival day, the Liteboat family has grown by a few new members!
