After our first night on the motherboat InDubio, we all woke up optimistic and were happy to see that the weather was way calmer… maybe too much? With very light winds to sail, and a intense rain in the morning, we were happy to share the same motivation to go out on the water, whatever the weather! We decided to plan a complete day mixing lake sailing and channels rowing and sailing, with a midday stop in a nice little town, and a finish point back in Heeg.

After everybody got set up and the boats ready, we finally left the harbour with the sails, and smiles on our faces. The wind was light, but the XP capabilities made us able to sail efficiently on the nearby lake, Heegermeer. What a pleasure to be with all boats together and play with the gusts! Next step: entering a meander channel to reach Woudsend, a nice little city which would be our midday stop. Some of us made most of the way sailing, even with a quite narrow passage, when some of us decided to row. That was the demonstration of the versatility of XP concept! The rain didn’t stop us, and we finally all parked our boat in the marina, before going by foot through the city to have a warm coffee and dry a bit.

We then left Woudsend all together, and sailed back to Heeg on channels, with some people getting directly to the barge while some of us decided to prolong this great day by sailing a bit more on the large lake nearby. After a great day on the water,we were all ready for another day of adventure.
