Rowing for everyone, all the time! Many people tell us they are looking for a rowing boat because they have rowed in the past, or have always wanted to try. As rowing is a fairly confidential sport in terms of access to the general public, one of the solutions for enabling people to get to grips with this fantastic activity is to offer them the chance to row during their holidays! We’re used to being able to hire pedalos, SUPs and dinghies, but now, thanks to Mark Warner, a holiday resort company, you can borrow a Liteboat to go rowing during your holiday!

The story began in 2018, when the company’s head of water sports contacted Liteboat. His idea? To offer everyone the chance to discover rowing at its centres in Greece. It was an idea that fitted in perfectly with Liteboat’s philosophy! The first six boats launched the project, which proved to be a great success, with almost all the boats booked every day of the season, and customers happy with this unique opportunity.

In 2023, 12 new boats joined the Mark Warner flotilla at the two sites where it offers rowing in Greece: the island of Lesvos, and Paleros. The boats are available on the beach for everyone. After an initial session with a rowing coach, holidaymakers can borrow the boat on their own to row in a large area dedicated to rowing. A superb demonstration of the interest in rowing, if only it were made accessible!

To enable as many people as possible to enjoy the benefits of rowing, Liteboat is working to develop these partnerships throughout Europe. Find out more about Mark Warner’s rowing offer here.
