On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, Lake Geneva felt like a true sea for the fifth edition of the coastal rowing regatta “Léman-sur-Mer”, organized by Lausanne-Sports Aviron. Despite storm “Amy” and its strong gusts, the atmosphere remained warm and friendly, as is always the case at events hosted by this iconic club.
At Liteboat, we were proud to see our coastal racing boats (LiteRace 1X, LiteRace 2X and LiteRace 4X) carrying some of the 194 rowers from Switzerland, France, USA, Austria, and Denmark. The race course had to be adjusted due to wind and waves: two races were shortened and the last one canceled. But on our boats designed for coastal rowing, every leg was an adventure: rowers surfed the waves, felt the spray, and fully enjoyed the adrenaline of the regatta.
“We are delighted the regatta could take place despite the weather” said Fanny Mossière, head of the Organizing Committee. “Safety was our top priority, and we could count on a highly committed team of safety personnel and referees.”
Our LiteRace boats offered every crew the perfect setup, whether juniors, seniors, or masters. Clubs traveling from Cassis, Lorient, or Thonon, along with 15 Danish participants, all enjoyed this unique regatta on Lake Geneva. Lausanne-Sports Aviron stood out by winning the club rankings, followed by Rowing Club Lausanne and Chablais Aviron Thonon.
At Liteboat, we are thrilled to contribute to this adventure by providing reliable, high-performance, and accessible boats in an atmosphere that remains friendly—even when Lake Geneva turns into a sea.
