Last weekend was our first XP owners meeting on the Lac du Bourget. We were very happy to have 6 XP on the lake not far from the Liteboat shipyard. Our lake is 20 km in length, surrounded with beautiful mountains…

Thanks to all owners who came and made this first weekend a success!

Despite the uncertain weather we had two very nice days on Friday and Saturday. We took advantage (always see the positive side of things!) of the lack of wind to row 20 km to the abbey of Hautecombe. Everyone improved a lot the gesture, technique and endurance of rowing. All are now expert rowers, ready to cross the Atlantic ocean! Relays and games were also organized in a very friendly atmosphere, with swimming for some. A small thermal breeze also allowed us to enjoy sailing with all the boats. We also had the time to organize a Gelcoat repair workshop to help the owners know how to fix any little problem with their boat. Days always ended with a good beer and a good meal, the pictures below speak for themselves!

The positive feedback from the owners present motivates us to perpetuate this event and to organize the second edition. And here we are! We are already studying different possible locations for next year. After few discussions with Liteboat owners of XP 20 and faithful ambassador of XP concept we are thinking to organize our annual meeting next mid September in Netherlands. There are many closed water areas which are ideal for sailing and rowing. Our project is a convivial meeting in 3 to 5 days of row & sail & share.

We are very happy to see the XP community growing and we are looking forward to the next edition!
